About us

Established in 2008, Eden Halfway House was the first halfway house in Kenya—designed to fill a vital gap in continuum of carefor individuals recovering from addiction and other mental health issues. Today, it remains one of the few reintegration-focused centers in the country, dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

Our vision

Building a recovery community through Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation and Reintegration.  Eden Halfway House, established in 2008 as the inaugural facility of the Eden House Group, embodies the vision of fostering sustainable recovery through its specialized focus on Reintegration. Situated in Parklands, this center bridges the gap between intensive residential treatment and independent living, ensuring clients transition seamlessly back into society. By offering both residential and non-residential programs, Eden Halfway House provides a structured environment where individuals practice accountability, rebuild relationships, and develop practical life skills such as financial management, career planning, and volunteer engagement. Weekly goal-setting sessions, daily focus groups, and partnerships with local employers and educational institutions empower clients to reclaim their roles as productive community members. As part of the broader Eden House Group’s four-pillar vision, the Halfway House collaborates closely with facilities like Eden Village in Lower Kabete for community recovery programs, ensuring continuity of care. Through its emphasis on long-term support structures—including 12-step fellowships and family therapy—Eden Halfway House transforms recovery into a lifelong journey of stability, dignity, and purposeful reintegration.
